Samsung Galaxy S7 review

Sometimes, the update to an already great phone may be a curse rather than blessing, but in the case of Samsung Galaxy 6 to Samsung Galaxy S7, it is exceedingly a blessing. In 2015, Samsung Galaxy S6 was the ace, but the latest innovation from the giant Korean company is far better. The Galaxy S7 look more sleeker than iPhone 6 with a screen that leaves all the other competitors in the dust and a camera better than the Nexus 6P. This is the most complete phone you can ever use.
Samsung Galaxy S7 Design
After Samsung change in design with the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge in year 2015, all rumors pointed to Samsung Galaxy S7, whether it will stay pretty or not. All thanks to Samsung, because they are not like HTC, Sony or Apple who makes drastic change in their design every year. Even though Galaxy S6 was a cute phone, Samsung Galaxy S7 is another beauty. Place the two side by side and you’ll understand which is which.
Metal rim snakes between the front and the back of Galaxy S7 covered with gorilla glass 4. A lock/standby buttons on one side while two volume buttons are sitting on the other side. This Samsung is without any advertisement at the back aside from the Samsung logo, so it is clean. The back design is curve which made a great change to how Samsung Galaxy S7 feels. Unlike Galaxy S6, Galaxy S7 slips very softly into your hand. It is exceedingly ergonomic and that feature makes it easy when picking it up from a flat surface. It was a good job from Samsung.
It is absolutely a fingerprint magnet that you’ll have to wipe the back down after a few minutes of use. The Nano SIM tray which holds both microphone and microSD slot is found along the top. The bottom part housed the headphone socket, while another housed microphone, micro USB charging port and a speaker. The speaker of the phone is one of the few lows of the phone; it is facing down and can be easily blocked with the hand playing games on it. The speaker sounds distorted and tinny when at high volume. A front facing speaker would have been better, but maybe it was not included to allow the full screen; however, it is a disappointment when the speaker sounds that bad.
Samsung Galaxy S7 has a fingerprint sensor that matches that of iPhone 6S’s, but marginally slower than that of Nexus 6P’s. That feature can be detected when you have the two phones side by side because you will hardly notice it. The fact that Samsung is listening to customers is a plus because they have brought back the people’s favourite features like IP68 water resistance and microSd expansion. The IP68 feature allows you to dip your Galaxy S7 into water up to 1m for up to thirty minutes. Samsung Galaxy S7 is a bit thicker than its predecessors but has a nice weight. With 5.1 inch display, it is almost the same size as the hiPhone 6S which has 4.7 inch screen.

Display

The display is very close to perfection even though there is not much change from the Galaxy S6; it still is the best screen for a Smartphone. It is equipped with 5.1 inch QHD and a resolution of 2560 x 1440. It uses Samsung Super AMOLED tech just like other Samsung Galaxies rather than the common LCD.
